Design and Construct
Core Project Group were appointed as the principal building contractor after a competitive tendering process to undertake the completion of the design and construction of the new WRHS Operations Base at Belmont Airport. The single level, on grade facility contained a helicopter hangar and engineering facilities, adjoining support facilities which include communications, training and conferencing facilities, crew accommodation and commercial and administrative space.
Working with long time client Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, Core project Group undertook significant design changes to ensure the over budget project was developed in a timely manner to a budget. From managing the modification of the consent to coordinating the delivery and move-in, the project was is a testament to the results that can be achieved with a true team approach. Through some astute programming, sought to accelerate the program in critical areas to ensure that the project was delivered and operational inside of our contractual obligations.
